Payroll Specialist

**About the role**: You will be responsible for providing a range of HR Payroll services to employees from joining to the expiry of the contract and assisting in all matters of payroll and processing of payroll transactions relating to all permanent and contractual staff accurately and in a timely manner.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Maintaining and processing payroll records and reports for accounting of salary/wages, accruals, deductions and other HR and payroll functions.
- Open employees' files in the system and enter salary details and their eligibility as per the agreed contract.
- Gather information on hours/days worked for each employee to accurately process the payroll accordingly and generate the statistics reports at the end of the month for all the staff.
- Calculate overtime pay, bonuses, allowances, and deductions.
- Maintain leave records and provisions of employees.
- Prepare final and leave settlements of employees.
- Prepare and execute pay slips through an electronic system and other assistant digital tools.
- Keep track of salaries, compensations, benefits and deductions.
- Track and keep records of employees’ annual leave, and resigned/left employees.
- Liaises in budget preparation.
- Coordinates payroll reconciliation with Finance Department.
- Maintain employee’s records such as joining (new recruit/joining from leave), terminations, resignations, changes in job, transfers, tracking vacation, and sick leaves.
- Prepares monthly KPI and HR CSR reports.
- Prepares labor cost and statistics report.
- Work on reconciliations with Finance departments.
- Should have a minimum of 4 years of job-related experience.
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Bachelor’s Degree in commerce or any equivalent degree
- Knowledge of the generally accepted accounting principles and local regulations
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups/X-lookups and pivot tables, all If functions.
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skill
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- In-depth knowledge of the WPS process and payroll system.
- Knowledge about the Labour law and applicable HR practices in QATAR.
