Payroll and Employee Benefit Specialist

**Position**: Payroll Specialist
**Starting Salary**: QAR 4,000 (Full package / All in; Negotiable based on knowledge and skills)

**Responsibilities**:
**Payroll Processing**
- Collect, review, and process employee timecards, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable labor laws.
- Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions accurately.
- Prepare and distribute pay slips
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, garnishments, and other deductions.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and address any employee payroll-related inquiries.
**Employee Benefits Administration**
- Coordinate employee enrollment and manage ongoing administration of benefit programs, including health insurance, end-of-service pay, and other employee benefits.
- Educate employees on available benefits and assist with benefit-related inquiries.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of benefit-related changes, such as new hires, terminations, and status changes.
- Collaborate with benefits providers and vendors to resolve any issues or concerns.
- Maintain employee benefit records and ensure compliance with ministry requirements.
**Compliance and Reporting**
- Stay up-to-date with relevant state payroll and benefits laws and regulations.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports, workers' compensation reports, and other required filings accurately and in a timely manner.
- Generate payroll and benefits reports for management review.
- Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll and employee benefits.
**Cross-functional Collaboration**
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Accounting departments to ensure accurate payroll and benefits information is shared.
- Provide support to other teams as needed regarding payroll and benefit-related matters.
- Participate in company-wide projects related to process improvement and system implementations.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in payroll processing and employee benefits administration, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, and regulations
- Detail-oriented with excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with utmost discretion.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with employees and external partners.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with payroll software and HRIS systems is a plus.
