Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood has an opportunity for a **HVAC Engineer** to join our team in Qatar on a staff basis. This is a key role within the Wood Doha office delivering across study, FEED, EPC and PMC scopes of work. In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of project work in accordance with the project execution plan, including Wood and/or Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control within the man-hour, cost and the project schedule targets.

Reflecting the market focus for the office in both brownfield and greenfield opportunities, multi-skilled personnel are sought, in particular those with experience in:

- Onshore Oil and Gas
- Offshore Oil and Gas

The HVAC Engineer will be expected to assume significant technical responsibility and help with managing the day-to-day execution of the project activities.

The Engineer shall have problem solving skills to ensure the heating, cooling, refrigeration, and ventilation systems meet the technical requirements. The Engineer shall be proficient in using software required for carrying out the required design activities and shall have a strong attention to detail.

The HVAC Engineer shall contribute to the design of engineering solutions and produce detailed designs and specifications. Prepare deliverables to meet specific project requirements including, but not limited to:

- HVAC Design Philosophy
- HVAC System Specification
- Heat Load Calculation
- HVAC System Datasheets
- HVAC Duct Layouts
- Safety Key Plans
- Vendor Document Reviews

The Engineer shall ensure optimal utilization of the resources and achieve all customer objectives and provide support to all equipments and perform calculations and implement various plans for HVAC. The Engineer shall be proficient in using software required for carrying out the required design activities.

The Engineer shall be proficient in interpreting P&IDs, technical documents, client specifications and use the information for interdisciplinary support.

The Engineer shall proficient with local and international Codes and Standards, Various Design General Specifications, Industry Best Practices etc.

The Engineer shall manage the technical aspects of procurement of equipment and services including preparation of requisitions, technical bid evaluation, vendor data review, scope development and management.

Skills / Qualifications:

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in HVAC Design for the Oil & Gas Industry.
- Must be able to execute technical work for FEED and Detailed Engineering Designs (designs, specifications, drawings, etc.) with ample Engineering Design Experience.
- Be able to work in a team environment and handle multiple project responsibilities.
- Be a team player where recognition of team performance as a whole is a greater priority than projecting individual contribution.
