Business Development Engineer

Job Role:
- The Business Development Engineer is responsible for generating external business leads, advancing the sales process, closing new business, and achieving/assisting in the achievement of sales targets for Fire Alarm, Fire Fighting, Building Management, Lighting Control, Guest Room Management, CCTV, Access Control, Gate Barriers, and other ELV Systems.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Identifying, qualifying, and securing external business opportunities & perform market research to determine new business leads & potential projects.
- Propose options to the management regarding tender price, and margins to ensure that the management is supplied with market-related information when deciding on setting competitive prices.
- Understanding client needs and offering solutions; support and responding to client requests for proposals (RFPs)
- Works to improve the organization's external market position & achieve financial growth.
- Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential clients.
- Penetrate to the external markets and generate a new client database
- Generate business opportunities by working with Customers and Channel partners to discover and explore opportunities.
- Conducting competitive analyses and understanding differentiators between the company and its competitors.
- Achieve assigned sales targets through developing business with new customers.
- Maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Schedule regular face-to-face meetings and sales call with key customers to assess short and long-term needs.
- Need to find potential customers, convert them into clients, build up strong relationships and continue to grow business in the future.
- Create and maintain a customer list/database of prospective clients; maintaining a database (Excel, Word, etc) of prospective client information
- Regular meetings with Business Development Manager and clients.
- Assist and where necessary, support-marketing efforts such as trade shows exhibits, and other events.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical)
- Minimum 5 years Experience as a Business Development Engineer or relevant field.
- UPDA Certification is Mandatory.
- QCDD Certification is an Advantage
- Valid Qatar Driving license is Mandatory
- Transferable Visa with NOC
