To achieve our ambition, we are seeking experienced professionals who can contribute to BAT's transformation. The successful candidate will play a critical role in executing the country operational plan within their assigned territories, delivering trade marketing, distribution, and brand objectives through the application of BAT best practices.

This role is part of the Marketing function and reports directly to the Market Manager. The geographic scope of this position is Qatar, with opportunities for growth and development within the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate assigned territory continuously to maximize business opportunities and ensure effective implementation of cycle plan activities.
  • Establish an excellent working relationship with the trade to gain their active support and maximize volume and in-store presence within agreed budgets.
  • Implement and evaluate trade incentive schemes to enhance in-store visibility and awareness for drive brands.
  • Management and leadership of distributor sales force to maximize distribution opportunities and minimize out-of-stock situations.
  • Ensure BAT distribution objectives on product quality and availability are met.
  • Assist Area Manager in supervision and guidance of merchandiser activities to maintain BAT in-store furniture in clean working condition and comply with agreed planograms.
  • Negotiation and execution of business development agreements with Key Accounts.
  • Deployment, control and follow-up of market initiatives and projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 1-2 years' experience as a merchandiser or trade marketing representative in another FMCG company, preferably one with a trade marketing approach.
  • Good interpersonal skills, strong communication both verbally and written, and MS Office skills, mainly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Well-organized with good time management skills and self-motivated with ability to work without micro-management.
