Government Relations Specialist

S GS QATAR is seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Assistant Government Relations Officer in Doha. This position requires a strong understanding of government regulations and the ability to maintain effective relationships with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage government relations and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Process and attest related documents, including official certifications and licenses.
- Support the renewal of company documents, such as trade licenses and chamber of commerce registrations.
- Coordinate procedures for adding new activities to the entity's commercial registration (CR).
- Issue new branch licenses/CR for new locations and obtain necessary approvals and training.
- Maintain accurate records of directors on the company's legal documents.
- Issue health certificates for all staff members as required.
- Attest documents before ministries and embassies when needed.
- Deliver correspondence to various stakeholders, including governmental agencies and private sector entities.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with several ministries to promote a favorable image of SGS QATAR and enhance the company's interests.
- Stay up-to-date on changes or amendments to prevailing laws, rules, regulations, forms, formats, and other procedures, and keep the Government Relations Department informed of such changes.
- Perform other duties related to the job as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Handle customer complaints filed at the Consumer Protection Authority and provide necessary support to resolve the complaint amicably.
