About The Role

The Business Development & IT Change Manager is responsible for ensuring that new systems acquired, developed or adjusted are fit for purpose, adequately scoped and effectively implemented into the business environment. They act as the main interface between technical resources within the IT team and the larger business environment.

This role takes the lead on change management initiatives to ensure adoption of systems and processes are effective and efficient. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in system capability, they explore business development opportunities, especially those related to e-commerce functionality in the system/s which supports the overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Apply a structured methodology and lead IT change management activities. Set up service level agreements with key IT/IS functions to support prompt resolution of service-related issues and development and implementation of new systems and upgrades.
  2. Conduct impact analysis, assess change readiness, identify key stakeholders, hold people accountable. Ensure effective delegation, monitoring delivery of IT projects and IT-related activities for business improvement.
  3. Develop and implement an IS project plan. Support the company's strategy by identifying and recommending service enhancements and/or cost-saving efficiencies.
  4. Liaise effectively with HOD and other staff. Ensure business and user needs are identified and incorporated into IT initiatives.
  5. Work with IT project managers for assigned projects. Take responsibility for core IT systems/modules for business rules administration, user access, and monitoring. Agree shared accountabilities, ensuring effective project planning and monitoring.
  6. Ensure UAT is completed and signed off. Deliver both training and implementation phases of projects on-time and efficiently with minimal disruption to the business.
  7. Provide regular feedback to IT teams. Jointly plan with IT teams on the resolution of concerns or additional improvements.
  8. Keep abreast of latest and future technical developments. Identify competitive advantages and/or improve core business activities.
  9. In conjunction with department champions. Ensure correct usage of systems and implementations of agreed/defined processes, including process audits.
  10. Responsible for documenting requirements. Meet regulations, improved controls, efficiency, support growth, to standardize process.
  11. Identify IT changes and processes. Scope these changes with relevant business and IT stakeholders to ensure a fit-for-purpose system that delivers on key objectives.
  12. Create and deliver a comprehensive change strategy. Support adoption of any system or process changes.
  13. Explore and evaluate new business opportunities. Generate revenue, improve profitability, and help the business grow.
