**Position Overview**:
The Catering Supervisor will oversee daily operations of catering services within a hospitality, corporate, or event setting. This role is responsible for ensuring high standards of food preparation, service, and hygiene are maintained. The Catering Supervisor will also manage staff, monitor inventory, and ensure that client expectations are met consistently.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Supervision of Catering Operations**:
- Oversee all aspects of catering services, including meal preparation, presentation, and service.
- Ensure food quality, portion control, and timely delivery of meals to clients.
- Supervise catering team members, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient workflow.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of catering equipment and facilities.
- **Staff Management**:
- Lead, train, and supervise kitchen and service staff, ensuring proper food safety and hygiene practices are followed.
- Schedule shifts and assign duties to team members based on operational needs.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing training to improve service quality.
- **Client Interaction & Service**:
- Interact with clients to understand their catering needs and preferences, including menu planning and special dietary requirements.
- Ensure that all client requests and complaints are handled promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate and communicate with other departments (e.g., event planning, logistics) to ensure seamless service delivery.
- **Inventory & Supply Management**:
- Monitor stock levels and manage inventory of food, beverages, and catering supplies.
- Ensure the timely ordering of supplies and ingredients to avoid shortages.
- Work with suppliers and vendors to negotiate costs and delivery schedules.
- **Health & Safety Compliance**:
- Ensure that food safety standards are met, including temperature controls, sanitation, and storage procedures.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure compliance with Qatar's health and safety regulations.
- Ensure staff adheres to all food safety guidelines and maintain high hygiene standards.
- **Budget & Cost Control**:
- Assist in managing the catering budget, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising on quality.
- Monitor and control food waste, portion sizes, and overheads to stay within budgetary guidelines.
- **Event Coordination**:
- Oversee catering for special events, banquets, corporate meetings, and other gatherings.
- Ensure that catering setups are aligned with client expectations and event requirements.
- Manage event logistics, including food transport, setup, and breakdown.
- **Reporting**:
- Prepare and submit reports on operational performance, inventory levels, and staff performance to the Catering Manager.
- Track customer feedback and recommend improvements to services or processes.
**Qualifications & Requirements**:
- **Education**:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. A degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field is preferred.
- **Experience**:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in catering, food service, or hospitality management, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven experience in event catering, large-scale food preparation, or hospitality services is highly desirable.

Pay: QAR5,000.00 per month
