Role Description

A 
Safety Officer
 collaborates with management to craft safety policies, conducts risk assessments, and investigates workplace incidents.

Responsibilities:

Risk Assessment and Management

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Identify potential hazards and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and update emergency response plans.

Training and Drills

  • Organize safety drills and training sessions.
  • Educate employees on safety practices and regulations.
  • Ensure all staff are aware of and comply with safety protocols.

Incident Reporting and Investigation

  • Document and report any incidents or accidents promptly.
  • Lead investigations to determine the cause of incidents.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Compliance and Auditing

  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
  • Maintain records of safety incidents, audits, and training.

Required Qualifications

  • A degree in occupational health, safety management, or a related field.
  • More than 4 years of experience in Facilities Management
  • Good communication skills
  • Certifications: Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), NEBOSH.
