JOB SUMMARY

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Work closely with Reservations department and oversee all event requests of 12pas and above.
  • Assist Marketing during promotional event with Function Sheet or any information required.
  • Be fully aware of opening times, activations, have a full and up to date knowledge of restaurant products and offerings, be ready to answer questions about COYA in general.
  • Study the competition and advise management team.
  • Being always a team player who prepared to be flexible and to carry out any other reasonable duty and responsibility as assigned.
  • Have a calm and understanding of nature with discretion and the ability to communicate clearly with all positions, ensuring that all employees are treated fairly and consistently as stated in their terms and conditions, legislation, company policies and procedures.
  • Foster a culture of flexibility, respond quickly and positively to changing requirements whether within the department or outside in order to meet business demands and guest service needs.
  • Assisting guests with changes, special requirements and any other requests as much as possible but without compromising the restaurant, always add the notes on the booking.
  • Perform other duties requested by management that may happen from time to time with reasonable manner.

Sales & Events

  • Grow conversion rate reactively and, retain existing database of guests to maximize sales.
  • Respond to sales enquiries using the recognized sales process.
  • Assist and oversee operation team before the events and provide them with accurate information regarding the group.
  • Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
  • Attend events and networking events relevant to the business.
  • Attend weekly HOD meetings in the region.
  • Have a positive impact, taking personal responsibility and initiative to resolve issues, looking after difficult situations with guests, always clearly communicating with both guests and colleagues.
  • Ensure company property is treated with due care and attention.

Communication

  • Ensure a thorough and proper handover between the team according to the shift pattern.
  • Be proactive in ensuring that the information given to guests is accurate.
  • Stimulate change, challenge assumption and ways of working to move the business forward.
  • Ensure that all communications both internal and external are professional and represent the company in a positive light.
  • Develop a positive and direct relationship with all colleagues and be a team player at all times.

Self-Management

  • Attend meetings and training sessions as required by the management team.
  • Take responsibility and accountability for your entire role by ensuring maximum revenue and covers for COYA and high level of guests service is delivered.
  • Promote best practice within the restaurant and to constantly look to improve processes and procedures.
  • Perform other duties requested by management that may happen from time to time with reasonable manner.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

  • 2year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 3 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area.
OR

  • 4year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 1 year experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area.
