Field Sales Manager – Modern Trade is responsible for managing and developing the trade channel in Qatar to deliver the agreed growth targets related to the company's modern trade business. The role involves developing and implementing sales strategies for key accounts, improving visibility and distribution that will drive share improvements, building strong relationships with assigned key accounts, and developing a strong motivated sales team.

Description
  1. Deliver the agreed growth and market improvement targets.
  2. Prepare an annual work plan for the modern trade team and ensure adherence to the same as part of daily work tasks.
  3. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for monitoring sales performance by brand and by customer segment.
  4. Conduct frequent business review and feedback meetings with all key accounts.
  5. Develop and implement appropriate Channel & Customer Plans utilizing the support budget to achieve the sales targets.
  6. Lead negotiations with all customers to ensure successful deal closure.
  7. Translate all categories agendas into channel agenda including plans for the trade and be responsible for the achievement of these plans within the budget.
  8. Ensure shelf planograms are maintained as per the plans.
  9. Monitor competitor's activities and suggest ongoing improvements and counter plans.
  10. Manage outside service providers to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and that any assigned targets are met.
  11. Oversee the provision of tools required for the delivery of sales and leasing services.
  12. Ensure that sales activities are performed optimally and in line with internal and external requirements, complying with approved procedures.
  13. Ensure correct stock levels at each wholesaler are maintained, and that the channel teams are covering the agreed universe productively.
  14. Initiate channel improvement initiatives.
  15. Expand the customer base within Qatar through relationship building and business development.
  16. Train, develop, and mentor the reporting sales team in line with market trends and demands.
  17. Ensure that agreed Customer Service standards/parameters are met.
  18. Agree stock norms for store/shelf for lead brands with key accounts and ensure compliance.
Academic Qualification:

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Sales. MBA is an added advantage.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years in sales, preferably in FMCG. Previous experience in the sales function of an FMCG will be preferred. Previous Middle East experience (sales and marketing) will be preferable.
