The position directly relates to Operations & Sales activities within the NOV WellSite Services. The Operations Manager for Qatar:
- Fully accountable for Solids Control & Waste Management P&L account.
- Maintain control on Working Capital
- Ensure service quality is continually enhanced. Develop and motivate employees to ensure consistently high standards of performance and effectiveness.
- Introduction of new product lines and Business Development in Country.
- Setup strategies for business growth accordingly with expectations from Company and Senior Management directives.
- Strong strategic planning and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills with the ability to foster positive connections with various stakeholders.
- Must ensure highest standards of HSE.
**Job Summary.**
As the Operations Manager for Qatar, you will play a key role in the overall strategy, development, and performance and growth of the business - with strong focus on HSE, P&L, Service quality, Asset tracking, DSOs, Inventory and business development. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, and manufacturing, to ensure the successful execution and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include:
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Accountable for the profitability of WSS Business in his/her area.
- Provision of Forecasts on weekly and monthly basis.
- Develop and execute strategies for expansion into new product lines.
- Manage customer contact and support in-country operations when required.
- Manage service staff utilization ensuring personnel is utilized accordingly.
- Ensure safety and timely project execution (Offshore and onshore installations).
- Liaison with engineering department for technical queries and proposal development.
- Ensure “Raising the Bar” program in Qatar is implemented and followed up at all times
- Authorize company expenses in accordance with policy.
- Train, motivate and develop staff to ensure continual high standards of performance.
- Manage the implementation of company policies regarding compliance, timekeeping, holiday planning, performance reviews and disciplinary procedures.
- Promotion and implementation of training at all levels of our organization.
- To engage in any other activity within his / her capability as requested by line management. Actively promote HSE.
**BEHAVIORAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES**:
- Extensive experience of offshore and onshore drilling operations, activities, equipment and use of same.
- Understanding of NOV WSS products and services and how they can be best utilized.
- Knowledge of the region and local culture. Full understanding of NOV policies and adhere to them at all times.
**EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILL-SET REQUIRED**:
**Essential**:
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the O&G industry as
- Operations Experience is a Must with a minimum of 7 years
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering, business, management, or a related field may be preferred
- 10+ years of experience in leadership and management roles, preferably in a similar industry or market.
- Sales Skills, Experience on Running Solids Control Equipment, Cuttings Reinjection Experience, Leadership Skills, Strategic Planning, Problem Solving, Ability to make decisions
**Desirable**:
- More than 10 years
- Engineering or Petroleum Degree
- Operations Experience
- Knowledge of P&L, Balance Sheet, Working capital
- Arabic is a plus
