Manager Cost and Pricing Strategy

About the Role
Responsible for preparation of Costing & Pricing strategy, researching and identifying existing and new business opportunities. Influence business performance by providing support and guidance to all QAS operational units related to Business Development and Expansion, Costing & Pricing with existing as well as new clients and also new business development and expansion projects.
**Responsibilities**:
- Identify optimal cost approaches, leading the proposal and process, delivery and negotiation of proposals, corresponding pricing narratives within QAS and Business Development and Expansion department.
- Develop and maintain effective pricing strategies and cost structure across the trends in the current and future operating market.
- Identify strategic ways to improve revenue contribution and quality innovation, process improvement including technical pricing.
- Works directly with Division Managers and QAS Commercial, Marketing & Contracts Department to ensure proposal and proposal cost volumes are strategically and competitively priced, compliant, completed on schedule and are of the highest quality.
- Lead initiatives ensuring optimum synergies are created between cost and pricing, delivering company KIPs.
- Perform cost, price and financial analysis to provide insights to QAS Commercial, Marketing & Contracts Department and related Business Unit Head.
- Prepare budgets on various sections of the cost proposal as well as review sub-grant/subcontract budgets and cost proposal materials prior to submission to client or prime contractor.
- Offer pricing strategies making cost proposals more competitive and cost efficient in order to reduce cost and achieve maximum profit level for QAS.
- Lead cost proposal modifications in competitive range discussions, under guidance of the Head of Business Development & Expansion and the Senior Vice President in order for effective implementation.
- Oversee and gather sourcing and verification of pricing information, unit costs for accurate submission.
- Review impact of cost of additional ground handling services on a daily, monthly, quarterly and annual basis to report the impact and on-time and safety operational performance and service levels.
- Ensure compliance with terms and conditions of the tender cost proposal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant airport regulations and restrictions, QAS and QR internal policies.
- Analyze and maintain up-to-date knowledge of pricing to ensure proposed pricing meets business/product target margins.
- Develop templates/other proposal forms as required to maintain well documented records supporting pricing.
- Evaluate and action events based on cost and pricing impact on current and future operations in full coordination with internal and external department stakeholders.
- Analyze cost effects to react to non-routine ground service operations to support stakeholders.
- Support QAS Commercial, Marketing & Contracts Department to prepare the contracting and negotiating strategy considering all economic variables and Indices to attain a superior informed negotiating positions, considers creative solutions.
- Manage negotiations with clients and stakeholders to obtain the ideal cost for value outcome.
- Ensure proposals submitted meet funder specifications and deadlines as well as QAS quality standards.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
Qualifications

Essential
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
- Minimum 8 years of job-related experience
- Strong command in English both verbal and written.
- Planning and Costing experience in
- Understanding of costing & pricing requirements of running a successful company
- Process driven mentality and good leadership skills of a diverse population.
- Understanding of the use of Information Technology to support both operations and business decisions.
- Ability to delegate tasks, set clear directions and manage workflow.
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills
