Job Description

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Sales organization and customers, preparing technical descriptions of applied products and technology.

You will be responsible for determining costs, preparing final documentation, and serving as a key technical resource in your assigned area. Your expertise will be showcased by performing lost proposal analysis, identifying potential causes, and recommending future actions.

This role is contributing to the electrification in Qatar, and you will be mainly accountable for:

  1. Supporting the local Sales organization/customer in determining the most suitable and cost-effective solutions and offer preparation.
  2. Preparing/supporting the preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specifications, local business indications, and Sales organization directives.
  3. Analyzing customer needs and competitor offers through market information and Sales organization data.
  4. Performing lost proposal analysis, identifying causes, and recommending future actions with the Sales team/local business to improve results.
  5. Defining costs for proposed solutions and communicating them to the Sales organization.
  6. Providing risk review information according to ABB policy and sometimes participating in assessments.
  7. Ensuring that HSE and integrity requirements are integrated and up-to-date in respective processes.
  8. Participating in project kick-off meetings.
  9. Providing technical support during meetings, product presentations, and negotiations.
