The role of the Sales Manager at American President Lines is to lead and guide a high-performing sales team in achieving revenue targets and exceeding customer expectations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coach and manage the sales team through regular meetings, joint visits/calls with sales staff, and provide guidance on developing and executing sales strategies.
- Evaluate the team's ability to sell maritime and non-maritime products as per company strategy and develop corrective measures if necessary.
- Develop and maintain business action plans & objectives, implement management tools, and monitor team performance through corporate dashboards.
- Promote products and services to customers and prospects, identify commercial market opportunities, and develop market shares according to commercial strategy.
- Establish Commercial actions plans and ensure alignment with company goals.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as an Account Manager or equivalent role.
- Strong knowledge in Shipping, minimum 7+ years of experience in liner shipping, management skills, and effective communication skills.
- Able to prioritize work effectively, manage time efficiently, and demonstrate professional demeanor, positive attitude, and stress management skills.
- Analytical mindset with ability to use data for decision making, previous experience in Salesforce platform is an asset.
