The Role:
The Sales Manager leads and guides the sales team to achieve revenue targets and exceed customer expectations. They develop and execute sales strategies, provide coaching and support to sales representatives, and collaborate with other departments to ensure the company's products or services are effectively positioned in the market.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Coach and manage Sales team through regular meetings and joint visits/calls with sales staff.
- Ensure the team is fully able to sell maritime and non-maritime products as per CMA CGM strategy.
- Develop and maintain business action plan & objectives, implement management tools.
- Follow up on team performance through the corporate dashboards and propose corrective measures if necessary.
- Promote products and services to customers and prospects.
- Responsible for establishing the Commercial actions plan.
- Identify commercial market opportunities, develop market shares and/or improve revenues according to commercial strategy (owner of important customers).
Knowledge, Work Experience, Skills & Competencies:
- 5+ years as an Account Manager.
- Strong knowledge in Shipping (minimum 7+ years of experience in liner shipping).
- Management skills.
- Effective communication skills (ability to articulate various business scenarios with customers, senior business leaders & middle management). Demonstration of professional demeanor, positive attitude, and ability to manage stress through challenging situations.
- Must be able to prioritize work effectively and manage time efficiently.
- Previous experience in Salesforce platform.
- Analytical mindset with ability to use data for decision making.
