Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inputting attendance data and investigating any missing information, ensuring accurate attendance records.
  • Updating the electronic registration system daily and addressing any data discrepancies with staff.
  • Recording staff absences and late arrivals, maintaining accurate attendance records.
  • Providing support and guidance to employees on attendance issues, including performance improvement strategies and schedule adjustments.
  • Communicating with supervisors regarding attendance issues, especially those requiring immediate attention.
  • Conducting investigations into employee absences to determine justification.
  • Monitoring employee attendance using timekeeping devices like biometric scanners.
  • Maintaining payroll operations in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring timely payments and settlements, adhering to documented procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Tracking employee working hours and informing them of deductions.
  • Processing and approving monthly timesheets and verifying overtime.
  • Generating leave reports and storing relevant information.
  • Updating Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Collaborating with the Finance Department, specifically the Payroll Section, on leave/overtime matters.
  • Calculating pay, benefit entitlements, overtime, and other payments accurately.
  • Investigating and resolving payroll issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Providing functional support to Finance and HR departments from a payroll management perspective.
  • Performing any other related tasks as requested by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Payroll Officer, ideally managing payroll for a minimum of 1000 employees.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite, particularly VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables and ERP systems.
  • Handson experience with ERP software.
  • Familiarity with Qatar labor laws.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
