Role Summary

The Senior Sales Trader will take responsibility to act as the main operational contact for a portfolio of key client relationships and execute orders on behalf of the Institutional clients (domestic and foreign) based on their instructions, while adhering to the policies and procedures in place by QNB.

Role Description

  1. Execute/Distribute orders passed by the Sales Traders and report execution in a timely fashion.
  2. Work on sourcing liquidity from other Brokers/Clients and build a database of available block securities.
  3. Generate trade ideas and disseminate research view to highlight market opportunities for clients.
  4. Periodically perform client meetings (locally and regionally) and seek feedback.
  5. Assist the Trading Department in converting leads of Institutional clients by marketing the desk's trading and execution capabilities and intelligence flow in all active markets and successfully presenting the businesses service offerings and their value proposition.
  6. Work closely with Sales traders to ensure best executions for all clients.
  7. Perform customer information validation and order validation while taking orders on a particular transaction from the customer.
  8. Assist in the development of the trading desk by coaching junior sales traders and dealers.
  9. Provide inputs to senior management for streamlining order execution and management during critical rebalancing events.

Qualifications

  1. Graduate degree in Finance or Economics.
  2. Further study to include MBA is preferred.
  3. At least 5 years of experience in relationship management with at least 3 years in a brokerage firm with Broker Dealer experience preferred.

Experience Of Regional Sell-side Equities Is Essential

GCC market experience is essential.
