As the business expands, we are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to be part of Qatar Airways Cargo's Data Analytics Team in Doha as a Cargo Data Analytics Manager.

About the role

In this role, you will be responsible for data analysis, management and governance for the airline's cargo by leading a team of data analysts and engineers, working to develop advanced analytics solutions and implement data-driven insights across the organization.

As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

  • Lead the design and development of data warehouses, data lakes and other data store solutions.
  • Facilitate the implementation of ETL processes, data models, and data pipelines to ensure data is clean, accurate, and available.
  • Effective Project Management by coordinating and communicating with all stakeholders involved in the usage of the visualization tool and making sure the tools developed satisfy stakeholders' needs.
  • Design and develop new analytical capabilities and models and enhance existing ones for the portfolio of competence in order to facilitate effective and efficient analysis.
  • Scale up the usage of visualization tools across the organization through ad-hoc trainings and proper technical support bringing the whole commercial organization towards more advanced analysis and business intelligence.
  • Look at state-of-the-art tools used in the industry and best practices in order to innovate, improve and advance analytical capabilities within the organization.
  • Oversee and supervise employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.

Qualifications

About you

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field with at least 7 years of experience in data analysis and 3+ years of experience in a management role.
  • Experience in managing and leading teams, and developing strategies for data analytics and management.
  • Proven and adequate knowledge of analytic techniques and business analysis concepts as well as good knowledge of business planning and strategy concepts and techniques.
  • Highly developed skills with MS Office Suite (i.e. Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik and Microsoft PowerBI.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills with strong negotiation, presentation and influencing capabilities.
  • Leadership and strategic thinking capabilities, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional and multi-cultural teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
