Regional Sales Director – FinTech

Our client, an exciting tech scale up in the digital payments space is seeking an experienced commercial leader to build and run a regional sales operation from their regional HQ in Qatar.
The successful applicant will develop our client's revenue profile, expand market presence, and form key partnerships in the Middle East. The focus will be on building a channel go-to-market strategy and local investor relations, empowering a high-performing sales and pre-sales team to achieve business goals.
Key Duties:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue targets and expand market reach.
- Identify new business prospects, market trends, and customer needs.
- Collaborate with senior management to set sales goals, budgets, and KPIs.
- Lead efforts to secure new customers, partners, and strategic accounts.
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including government entities, corporate clients, and financial institutions.
- Drive market expansion into new industry verticals and segments.
- Collaborate with in-country partners, resellers, and system integrators.
- Develop and execute a territory plan aligned with our client's global partner go-to-market strategy.
- Train and enable the sales team to achieve regional sales targets.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction, retention, and loyalty.
- Act as the primary contact for key accounts and strategic partners.
- Coordinate with internal departments to deliver valuable solutions and services.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field; MBA is a plus.
- Proven success in sales leadership within digital payments, fintech or similar, with a Middle East focus.
- Track record in building and leading high-performing sales teams and driving revenue growth.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
