This role involves managing the process and delivery of menu planning for both food and beverage elements, meeting Qatar Airways' high-quality standards. The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers to ensure compliance with airline and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of global cuisines, culinary techniques, and food trends, preferably within the airline catering industry. They will also possess excellent leadership and strategic thinking capabilities, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional and multi-cultural teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the formulation of company product development strategy in alignment with business goals, desired customer experience, and customer feedback.
  • Develop new sourcing opportunities by researching suppliers in the market to improve product consistency and reduce costs.
  • Build and deliver robust Food and Beverage Plans, maximizing product development including delivery of Fine Dining Services to assist in improving product quality and consistency.
  • Responsible for the development, maintenance, update, and communication of menu planning structure, timelines, and detailed requirements for all routes and meal services ensuring consistency of Qatar Airways Food and Beverage services network-wide.
  • Responsible for the creative direction of the overall culinary program, including new menu development, sourcing, and concept development and refinement in the assigned region.
  • Create, implement, and ensure Culinary Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are being followed in the areas of food safety, food storage, prep recipes, line procedures, and all other culinary processes.
