Job Title: Sales Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to join our team at Accor. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing and executing sales strategies, and building strong relationships with key accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospective Accounts: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, analyzing market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies.
  • Fairs and Events: Represent Accor at industry events and conferences, building relationships with key stakeholders and promoting our brand.
  • Market Development: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth in key markets, including domestic and international markets.
  • Room Sales: Work closely with the Rooms Division to ensure seamless room sales and revenue management.
  • Market Mix: Analyze market trends and competitor activity to ensure a balanced market mix and minimize dependence on any one market.
  • Coordination: Regularly meet with hotel operations teams to ensure effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular sales reports to senior management, including call reports, sales activity, and market trends.
  • Business Planning: Develop and execute business plans to drive sales growth and revenue increase.
  • Accounts Receivable: Work closely with the Credit Manager to ensure timely settlement of outstanding accounts and follow up on a regular basis.
  • Contract Negotiation: Establish and negotiate contracts with key accounts, including local in-bound operators, travel agents, and corporate clients.
  • Rate Market Surveys: Conduct regular rate market surveys to advise management on market trends and competitor activity.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff are equipped to meet sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  • Emergency Procedures: Ensure all staff are familiar with hotel emergency procedures and are prepared to respond in the event of an emergency.

Requirements:

  • Proven sales experience in a hospitality or related industry.
  • Strong business development and sales skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and competitor activity.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
