Position Overview

The General Business Sales Executive is responsible for focusing on complex sales engagements which are mainly partner-driven in the GB-segment. The GBSE may be specialized on industry or solutions based on the MU-market; he/she is working in conjunction with (i)PBMs and ISEs. The GBSE covers opportunities in partner- / SAP-accounts above a specific revenue threshold defined in the GTM-setup of the MU/Region.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for selling through resellers/partners focused on the General Business segment (SME).
  2. Coordinate all sales activities with the partners to ensure successful closing of opportunities, mainly via coaching of partners' sales teams.
  3. Monitor competitor activity and implement strategies to maintain assigned account ownership and block competitor advancement.
  4. Align with PBMs on Partner Business Planning for the territory covered; identify opportunities for further growth in the territory.
  5. Responsible for creation, monitoring, and review of business development activities around the solution- or industry-specialization area.
  6. Drive core strategies and actions to ensure KPI achievement.
  7. Coach partner sales reps to interact with prospects in large or complex SW deals.
  8. Drive deal closure by inserting him-/herself in big and complex opportunities of partners assigned.
  9. Enable partners to independently drive business with various resources.
  10. Report on sales progress throughout the year; identify deviations from plans agreed and actively engage in measures to deliver goals.

Experience & Language Requirements

  1. Minimum 7 years experience in sales & indirect sales.
  2. Profound knowledge in one or several solution areas such as LoB, Mobility, In-Memory, ByDesign, BA&T, B One, BAiO, Cloud or in a certain industry.
  3. Understanding of multi-channel go-to-market models.
  4. Knowledge of ERP market.
  5. Business level English and local language.
  6. Bachelor equivalent; Master equivalent preferred.
