The ideal candidate will lead the account development and penetration strategy for assigned customers or regions. They should be skilled at building and maintaining relationships with clients and work to provide exceptional customer service to clients.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience as a Sales Manager in the Exhibition, Conference & Event industry
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Related industry awareness
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong speaking and written communication skills in Arabic and English
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Qatar Drivers License
Responsibilities
  1. Manage a portfolio of accounts
  2. Actively promote and sell exhibition space and sponsorship
  3. Conduct a telephone sales campaign to lapsed exhibitors and new prospects
  4. Conduct face-to-face sales to current exhibitors, lapsed exhibitors and new prospects
  5. Source new companies in these marketplaces from the trade press and competitive events
  6. Actively seek out and follow through effectively on new prospects
  7. Liaise with Associations and Trade Bodies
  8. Sell sponsorship and delegate passes for Conferences
  9. Develop and maintain long-term relationships with current customers and prospects, understanding their business and marketing needs
  10. Develop and manage the prospect database
  11. Maintain contact with exhibitors and deliver a high standard of customer service
  12. Support Project Managers in managing an existing sales team, providing ongoing coaching and feedback to help them increase their performance
  13. Work with other Sales Managers in identifying new opportunities for the event
  14. Achieve individual and event revenue targets
  15. Support the process of collecting debt
  16. Maintain database
  17. Sell in and maintain relationships with agencies
  18. Maintain status as a key industry figure and work on special projects with Industry Associations
  19. Ensure floor plan, data and bookings are accurate with Exhibition administrators
  20. Develop relationships with clients to establish new contracts
  21. Create plans for business growth
  22. Develop pricing structures for event projects
  23. Develop risk assessments for event projects and products to work toward commercial efforts
  24. Financial planning and budgeting
  25. Bid on new projects and negotiate contract terms
  26. Review and develop operational process flows
  27. Analyze data from internal systems and external sources to identify opportunities to improve sales performance
  28. Identify and contact potential clients to determine their needs and assess their interest in the company's products or services
  29. Ensure that company products or services are represented accurately in advertising and marketing materials
  30. Develop strategies to increase market share by identifying new opportunities in existing markets or developing new markets
  31. Develop and implement a strategic plan to achieve specific goals such as increasing revenues or improving customer satisfaction
  32. Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, partners, and other external parties to ensure compliance with legal requirements
  33. Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events
  34. Be flexible and willing to adapt to changes in scope of work
  35. Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  36. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional Marketing and Sales strategies; establishing personal networks; participating in professional activities
  37. Achieve the target and sales growth volume for the company
  38. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
