About the Role
To Lead, coach and develop the QuEST Team to achieve organizational objectives ensuring that safe operations are a top priority in all areas of the Organization while constantly improving Management Systems standards. To support the implementation and execution of Management System Certifications through in-depth analysis of regulations, standards and procedures to ensure QAS is aligned with the requirements to operate safely.
**Responsibilities**:
- Act as a day-to-day point of contact for various departmental and business projects and guide to support the delivery of the customer proposition.
- Contribute and strive to achieve QuEST Objectives and Performance Indicators and suggest areas for improvement based on trend analysis.
- Drive continual improvement recommendations in the management system and the company quality objectives, suggesting innovative improvements to the Managers where necessary.
- Monitor implementation of Procedures issued by Customer Airline, QCAA, or Airport Operator in the event of specific occurrences, incidents or accidents.
- Maintain existing Management systems certifications and assist the team in gap analysis, documentation and implementation of the required standards/recommendations to obtain additional industry-related accreditation for the company.
- Analyze the regulatory requirements, IATA and industry standards, Management System Standards and Customer Airline requirements to ensure QAS Documentation captures all applicable requirements to deliver excellence in service provided.
- Write Procedure Manuals for headquarter and stations and review procedure changes and maintain documentation control.
- Perform Risk Assessments, Aspect & Impact Analysis, Internal Audits, Preventive & Corrective action reports, and analyze non-conformances/gaps/trends to bring improvements within QAS operations.
- Monitor the conformance of company management systems programme through inspections, audits and oversight ensuring adherence to regulatory and customer airline operational requirements to ensure safe operations.
- Conduct internal control audits across the organization in close coordination with the Departmental HODs, Line Managers and frontline staff members to assess conformance to Procedures.
- Conduct Risk Assessments, Aspect impact Analysis for all tasks undertaken by QAS in coordination with line management ensuring risks/impact is mitigated to as low as reasonably practicable to deliver safe & sustainable ground operations.
- Monitor non-conformances, analyze trends and work closely with line management to ensure effective, timely actions are implemented to address deficiencies and share with management for necessary actions to improve performance.
- Cooperate with Customer Airline and all other relevant stakeholders to match their compliance and conformance levels in the day-to-day operations as well as for audits.
- Contribute to creating and organizing promotional activities that effectively communicate a positive culture and lead to behavioral change, based on knowledge of QuEST concepts, layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.
- Lead and drive the business for accurate Investigation reports and follow up on recommendations and preventative measures ensuring that they are following IATA AHM (Airport Handling Material) and IGOM (IATA Ground Operations Manual) best practices.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
Qualifications
About you
Essential
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of job-related experience
- Airline/Airport/Ground handling experience
- Strong Management and leadership skills within a diverse work environment.
- Experience in writing procedures and documentation management.
- Safety and security practices as stipulated by ICAO/IATA and stipulated by the company.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining ISAGO/IOSA, Quality Management System standards, environmental Management Standards, Occupational Health and Fire & Safety Standards.
Preferred
- Quality Management System, Safety Management Systems, Safety Management System, Environmental Management System, Lean Six-Sigma Experience
- Experience in implementing and maintaining integrated Management Systems
- Auditor Certification in ISO/ ISAGO or other.
- NEBOSH Certification
- Working experience in creating and implementing Audit plans, Risk Assessments, Trend Analysis and Change Management.
