You will be working as Senior Sales Engineer and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Measurement and Analytics Division based in Doha, Qatar. In this role you will be reporting to Local Division Manager PAMA- QA and will be responsible for selling company products and systems within a designated geographic area or customer segment in accordance with strategy. Developing and maintaining new sales opportunities and customer relationships and managing resolution to specific customer problems.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships (from commercial to administrative functions) to understand customer needs, promoting customer understanding of full product offering and aligning to provide a solution
- Preparing sales plans using company tool (i.e., SFDC) and performing regular status reviews and proposing recovery plans in cases of potential order shortfalls
- Ensuring the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals through effective product / solution presentations and negotiations
- Contributing to the development of new market opportunities in the designated territory supporting other sales professionals
- Managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supporting collection and project management activities when needed
- Preparing offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager. Ensuring appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions
- Supporting the relevant manager or specialist on customer risk analyses. Formulating a winning strategy for each opportunity based on available and acquired market info.
- Taking the ownership of promoting existing and newly launched products and services in Qatar
- Ensuring that the sales/service proposals submitted are followed up and that agreements are signed when appropriate, and that they are in accordance with established requirements of ABB
**Your background**:
- Degree in Instrumentation Engineering and / or Postgraduate in Sales, Marketing Management
- Minimum 8 -12 years of experience in industrial / process analytical sales of which minimum 04 years in Qatar
- Should have thorough knowledge of the project sales cycle and able to do 360 Deg mapping
- Must possess good knowledge of Qatar project market in various segments
- Knowledge to sales tools and SAP will be added advantage
- Good knowledge and understanding of ANALYTICAL Product portfolio especially Gas and Water analyzers
- Must be a go getter with excellent communication and presentation skills
