Job Description

This role involves the preparation of tenders and provision of front-end sales support in respect of client enquiries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for taking overall control of service tendering activities, ensuring alignment with the company's business plans and strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Receiving and acknowledging client enquiries.
  • Reviewing commercial terms and work scope, liaising with internal stakeholders to meet bid submission deadlines.
  • Coordinating with sales teams to prepare technical and commercial proposals.
  • Liaising with operations teams to determine repair and overhaul timescales, parts, and repair requirements.
  • Coordinating with vendors to obtain third-party materials and subcontract quotations.
  • Producing costing sheets for review with operations, finance, and sales teams.
  • Preparing quotations for additional work identified during order execution.
  • Ensuring tenders meet company commercial guidelines and have necessary sign-offs in accordance with delegation of authority guidelines.
  • Ensuring Order Entry documentation is completed in accordance with handover guidelines and procedures and company KPIs.
  • Applying Sulzer tools, policies, procedures, codes of conduct, and best practice guidelines.
  • Attending clarification meetings, pre-tender site visits with clients when required.
  • Taking responsibility for associated handover documentation in the event of an order.
  • Proactively engaging and supporting company initiatives promoting safe working, environmental protection, and continual improvement.
  • Contributing to weekly/monthly reports on local business performance against targets.
  • Contributing to tender follow-up processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Relevant experience within the Pump/Rotating Equipment industry.
  • Good understanding of pump machinery, assembly, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience dealing with rotating equipment repair and overhaul tenders.
  • Experience of contract negotiation in a commercial environment.
  • Ability to act independently.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to change.
