Job Overview

The IRB Research Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University. As a key member of the research team, this individual will be responsible for managing research applications, conducting reviews, and providing guidance to investigators.

Responsibilities
  • Application Review: Conduct thorough reviews of all new research applications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Investigator Support: Communicate with investigators regarding required clarification or supplementary documents, and provide direct guidance and resources as needed.
  • Meeting Support: Prepare agendas and materials for meetings, produce minutes of meetings, and facilitate IRB meetings.
  • Database Management: Ensure the IRB Research Projects Database is up-to-date and that IRB study files are properly filed.
  • Certification and Compliance: Maintain and update the IRB members' information, including rosters, CVs, and certificates, and handle assurance renewal processes.
Qualifications
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in science or a relevant field.
  2. Experience: 2-5 years of relevant full-time professional experience.
  3. Certification: CIP Certification (Certified IRB Professional) is a must.
  4. Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills, proficiency with computer programs, and ability to work under pressure.
